The Lugoff-Elgin Water Authority, established in 1964 by Act 784 of the South Carolina Legislature, is one of over 300 Special Purpose Districts (SPDs) in the state.

Serving more than 10,000 customers in Kershaw, Fairfield, and Richland Counties, it is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors elected at the Annual Meeting, held at 7:00pm on the third Tuesday of September. Board members serve six-year terms and are nominated from the floor.

The Authority receives no tax support and operates entirely on a fee-for-service basis. Our team is dedicated to meeting customer needs and providing the best service in the industry.
